Ask anyone in the health and wellness profession, if you want to be healthy and get fit one of the first things to do is stop drinking alcohol. All alcohol. All the time. Well, for some people that just doesn’t work. Like me! Bar owner and fitness professional. Level Up Your Character!

Welcome to 2017! I have a few friends doing these “Life Report” style blogs, where they have catchy titles, list their goals, and use the interwebz to keep them accountable. I would like to do that, and I have access to interwebz, and people! I don’t have a catchy title, so since I’ve been playing D&D lately I figured why not do this like I’m gaining XP and leveling up? That also fits with the book I’m reading, again, called the Nerdist Way! More on that later.

Fitness trackers have been around a looooooooong time. But, as much as they seem to get better they also really just stay the same. Ironically, the best tracker I ever used is also the oldest one I’ve had. But, I think Apple has a handle on things and are going to force fitness tracking to finally move to the next level. 21 Day Fix, Round 1 Results and Review

Yesterday marked the completion of my first round doing the 21 Day Fix. Before I get into what it is and what my experience was, let’s just cut to the chase. Can you get in shape and lose weight in just three weeks while eating a ton of food? Yup. I lost 4 pounds, an inch off my waist, and an inch and a half off my chest while eating about 2300 calories a day and spending just 30 minutes working out.
