As the wise little Yo-gurt once said, it’s all about merchandising!!! With that being said I set out a few days ago to kick my ice cream addiction into the healthy zone! What better base than Shakeology, right?
I did some research online, since Shakeology ice cream is nothing new. I found that everyone that’s done it has done it pretty much their own way. This is how I did it.
1 – Scoop Chocolate Shakeology
8oz – Vanilla Almond Milk
10 – Ice Cubes
1 tbsp Jif Natural Peanut Butter
Makes approx. 1 cup
Blend until it’s smooth, then put it in the freezer until it’s solid. Remove from the freezer and move it to the fridge and it’ll be just right!!
I have to say, it tasted AMAZING! Just like something you’d pay $6 at the ice cream shop. Only this is packed with vitamins, nutrients, and all your fruits and veggies (shhhh, don’t tell the kids!)
There are some neat things you can do, too. You can sprinkle it with PB2 for more peanut butter taste, add some protein to the mix to thicken it up, use a flavored butter like Nutella or the Peanut Butter & Co Dark Chocolate. Whatever you want to do! I know one thing, though. I’ll be mixing me up a big ‘ole batch real soon!
