My friend and personal Coach posted something on her Facebook a few days ago that really resonated with me. This is from her post and I hope she doesn’t slay me for sharing, but this really has been me for the past two years.
Last week I spent a week at sea, sailing around with all you could eat everything, a Ben & Jerry’s, and $3.95 Johnny Rockets. It would have been incredibly easy to enjoy the week and then hate myself this week. But, I was able to keep myself in check, enjoy a ton of tasty food, and come home with less inches! This is how I did it, and I hope you can, too.
The Force has awoken. For the first time in over a decade I was able to go to a movie theater and see a brand new Star Wars. I was very vocal about how cautiously optimistic I was. I remember absolutely falling in love with The Phantom Menace trailers and all of the merchandising. That poster of little Anakin with Vader’s shadow? My favorite. So to hear there was a new Star Wars, with the original cast, taking place 30 years after Return of the Jedi I thought “This could be epic, or this could be awful”. Well, it was Epic.
Last night I went and got my first tattoo. If you know me well then you probably know I’ve never expressed interest in getting a tattoo, or tattoos in general. I’m not against them, though. Most of my friends have them and I married a woman with one (now two). So I think to a portion of my friends and family it may come as a shock. Well, this is why I did this thing.
