Keep Moving Forward

It’s been a while since I’ve done a blog here. Life getting in the way, new job, new workout routines, just life. But that’s no excuse, and that’s what I’m here to blog about today!

In fitness, as in all things, you have to keep moving forward. I don’t care if you’re doing a Beachbody program, local boot camp or Zumba, or just your own thing. Keep. Moving. Forward.

Setbacks will happen. Let’s face it, you’re going to fluctuate. You’re going to hit a plateau.You’re going to cheat on your meal plan. But the LAST thing you want to do is start letting the excuses creep in. “Oh, I had a donut at work. I feel so bad I guess I just can’t workout.” What?! Of my favorite “I had a hard day today. So much stress. I just can’t get to the gym.” The fact is, you CAN. You can keep moving forward. You have to. The problem is most of us don’t like working out. We don’t like eating healthy. When something pops up we immediately grab onto it and use it as a reason not to do what we don’t want to do. Here’s the real problem, though. Letting it become habit.

Missing one workout, having a donut, whatever. It’s OK once in a while. It’s when you start on Sunday saying “I have to get ready for Monday, no time to workout. We have to go out and eat since we don’t have time to cook.” Then Monday “I had such a bad day. I hate Mondays. Let’s just go out.” Then Tuesday “I feel like such crap from last night and not working out. ugh *plops on couch*” Are you seeing the trend yet? Break out of it!

And to those of you that haven’t even started yet… you know who you are! You’re the ones getting messages from me 3 or 4 times a week. START!!! Let Monday be your start day. You’re here. You’re getting this message. There are no more excuses.
